Gleaners  Food Bank
The food bank was started in 1986 by several area churches, and is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Among other duties, the Board seeks funding from various foundations. The name Gleaners is Biblical in origin (Leviticus 19: 9-10)
Gleaners Tri-County Food Network
In addition to being a "food bank", we are also the Tri-County Food Network, and a member of the Quinte Regional Food Share Shelter QRFSS

Our Challenges
We are continually challenged in obtaining ongoing funds for warehouse/food bank operations.

St. Michael's Parish has generously donated our home for the past 19 years.  This support is greatly appreciated!

Gleaners counts on the  community to give, and show their support by participating in upcoming events.  Funds raised from these activities are crucial to our continuance, and growth in serving those in need.

Gleaners holds itself to the highest of ethics, as set out by The Canadian Association of Food Banks.  Click on the link below to review:  CAFB  Code of Ethics
