Provide Emergency Food Hampers (including ones for special dietary needs) to:
Working families, people on social assistance,
singles, couples, students, seniors, the disabled and children.

could be your neighbour, a friend, even a relative"

FACT:
In 2005, 7711 food hampers were distributed to 16,838 individuals
in the Belleville area alone.
6197 of them were children.

We Provide
Refreshment & Snacks to Clients through the St.
Michael’s Outreach Project.
Michelangelo’s Café, (seen below), is located at Gleaners Food
Bank, and is open during food bank hours.

Community Resource
Information is also provided through Gleaners concerning:
Affordable housing, addiction services, parenting services and
job info/training.

Why
a Food Bank?
Research by the Task Force on Hunger found that hundreds
of families were unable to afford food, and had to seek emergency
assistance.
Statistic
Canada’s 2005 Health Report says that over 3 million people are
“food insecure.”
