Dear Friends of Gleaners:

Welcome to our 2007 kick-off for the Gleaners Tri-County Food Network’s Capital Campaign.

As of February 28th we will officially own the building at 25 Wallbridge Crescent.  That is the location of our regional warehouse that services Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland County food banks including: Loyalist College/school breakfast & snack programs, soup kitchens and non-profit agencies.

Our goal is to raise $600,000 to help offset the operating expenses for this endeavor.  This will enable us to lower our monthly warehouse operational expenses and ensure we direct needed dollars to food purchases.  Gleaners' mission is to network food to the region and this warehouse is the means to continue this valued service.

We are happy to announce that the following professionals have joined our capital campaign: Mr. Stu Cook to assist with banking and Mr. Peter McCabe will advise us on Legal Issues. We have also set up Capital Campaign Accounts with the TD Bank on North Front Street Belleville.

We would appreciate your participation in this fundraising campaign.

Yours truly,

P. John Halloran
