Downtown Blues Festival
The Downtown Belleville Blues Festival is a two-day event, taking place on September 6 and 7, that aims to provide a quality blues music experience to residents and visitors of Belleville. Part of the Blues for Food movement, the festival is organized by Carol Feeney and Tony Vani, two native Bellevillians and longtime friends. The new festival's mission is to not only engage local musicians and activate the downtown core, but also to raise funds and resources for Gleaners Food bank or another needy organization in the city. The festival is a registered company and plans to make this an annual event.
The festival will take place at various locations in downtown Belleville and has received support from sponsors and discounted rooms from Best Western to attract tourists and support the downtown area.
Concert-goers are asked to make a donation at the Gleaners table onsite OR bring a food donation. Electronic donations can be made by tap or debit.
